Import gbXML Files

Import gbXML models and promote them to OpenBuildings Energy Simulator projects.

Accessed from:

Backstage: File > Import > Exchange File Types > gbXML(*.xml)

Selecting Import opens the Open dialog where you select the gbXML file to import.

As part of the import process, OpenBuildings Energy Simulator validates gbXML building and room types to their corresponding OpenBuildings Station Designer types. This is done with the Analytical Space Model (ASM) Energy Settings & Validation which opens immediately after selecting a gbXML file to import and clicking Open.

CAUTION: Your project must not contain any floors prior to importing a gbXML file.
